Counselling Support

St Andrew’s Junior College believes in the holistic development of our students.   Besides education, we are also concerned about development in other aspects of their lives.  Counselling is one of the services we provide for our students to enhance their social, emotional and behavioural competencies to promote their learning in school through one-to-one or small group sessions.

Counselling is a collaborative process between the counsellor and the student, to facilitate the expansion of the student’s view of life, enrich his/her repertoire of coping skills and enable him/her to make responsible decisions for himself/herself.  The goal of counselling is to help students manage problems effectively so as to support their total development.

Our counselling team comprises a School Counsellor and a few Teacher Counsellors. They are trained with counselling skills to help our students professionally. Some of the issues handled by our counsellors are academic stress, relationship issues and personal concerns/challenges. Students can make appointments with the School Counsellor via phone messages or they can look for any Teacher Counsellor for guidance.
