2026 National Project Work Festival
On Monday, 9 March, the Ministry of Education organised the inaugural National Project Work (PW) Festival, a platform celebrating innovation and critical inquiry among JC students. SAJC was well-represented by teams who demonstrated not just academic rigour, but desire to serve their community through their project ideas.
The Project Showcase: Real-World Solutions
Our students engaged with visitors from various Junior Colleges, sharing project ideas aimed at addressing societal challenges.
-
Group C078: Anusha and Adam presented #MaximisedArabSt, exploring urban heritage and space.
-
Group C094: Asher, Chloe, Xin Hui, and Hana shared Let’s Makan Lah!, a project centered on community and food culture.

Reflecting on the journey, Asher shared:
I appreciated how PW gave us the opportunity to explore areas that interested us. Being able to research a real-world issue and propose solutions made the learning experience more meaningful. It encouraged us to think critically about societal challenges and how we could contribute ideas that may potentially make an impact.
Marketplace of Ideas Pitch: Courage Under Pressure
In the competitive Marketplace of Ideas Pitch, SAJC stood out as one of the few colleges with two teams shortlisted nationwide.
-
Group C064: Aryan and Caleb pitched Making Jalan Besar More Besar.
-
Group C137: Jovia and Madelyn clinched 4th Place nationally with their project, Harmony4Kidz!
The pitch required Skilled Communication and Holistic Thinking, qualities we strive to nurture in every Saint.
For Caleb, the experience was a lesson in resilience:
Initially, I was quite averse to the idea of presenting to a panel from government organisations... But I overcame my nerves and stepped outside my comfort zone. I learnt presentation skills like body language and oratorical skills, as well as how to engage in a Q&A effectively.
We congratulate all our participants for representing the College with such excellence and heart. The growth you have all shown is our greatest achievement
