NUS Project and Facilities Management Essay Prize 2020
A team from SAJC comprising Jeffinson Darmawan, Davon Pung Yu Han and Chua, Richelle Aubrey Ang from 20S12 took part in an essay competition - the ‘PFM Essay Prize 2020’ organised by the Department of Building, National University of Singapore.
The theme for the competition was ‘What Roles Can The Youths In Singapore Today Play Towards Achieving 80% Green Buildings By 2030?’
Their essay titled “Guardians of the Garden City” impressed the judges with its thoughtful analyses and creative ideas. The team emerged Champion out of 40 essay entries from 12 Junior Colleges and schools.
On 26 Feb 2021, the team had the opportunity to hear from esteemed faculty to learn more about the Project & Facilities Management Programme as well as the exciting research they were doing. This was followed by the Prize Presentation ceremony which was graced by the Guest of Honour Adjunct Professor Teo Ho Pin. The SAJC team received the top prize, individual trophies and a trophy for the College.
